Locker Signage

The University of Kansas does not provide approved secure storage for firearms. Lockers located across campus in work, study, studio, or recreation areas are not approved for storage of firearms. University units that maintain access to commonly available lockers may post wording that makes this fact known.

Suggested wording for commonly available lockers

These lockers are not appropriate secure storage for handguns. Individuals who choose to carry a concealed handgun must plan their day accordingly and transfer their handgun to an approved secured storage device in their residence or locked vehicle before arriving to use these lockers.
